
Dr. Orestis Efthimiou
Head of the Clinical Evidence and Guidelines Research Unit, BIHAM Institute of Primary Health Care He holds a background in physics, having earned his PhD in theoretical physics in 2008 in Greece. In 2017, he completed a second PhD in biostatistics.

Since 2016, he has been working at the University of Bern in Switzerland. His research primarily focuses on the development of statistical methods for evidence synthesis, such as meta-analysis and network meta-analysis.
He has also developed methods for integrating individual patient data from multiple studies, particularly for predicting treatment outcomes at the patient level.
