Richard holds a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he is also an Adjunct Professor of Biostatistics.

Richard C. Zink (he/him) is a Principal Research Fellow at JMP Statistical Discovery, LLC, where he identifies, researches, and addresses challenges in the medical product and life sciences industries. With over 20 years of experience, he has contributed statistical thinking and analytical expertise to medical product development, focusing on unmet medical needs, improving data interpretation and communication, accelerating patient safety reviews, and enhancing data quality.
Richard serves as an Associate Editor for the DIA journal *Therapeutic Innovation & Regulatory Science*, a role he has held for more than 10 years. He was the Chair of the Biopharmaceutical Section of the American Statistical Association in 2019 and was the former host of the Biopharmaceutical Section Statistics Podcast, where he recorded 100 episodes over a decade. In 2020, he was honored with the distinction of Fellow of the American Statistical Association.
