A Talk by Daniel Sabanés Bové PhD , Anders Ellern Bilgrau PhD , Coline Zeballos , Lyn Taylor and Kevin Kunzmann
About this Talk
The use of statistical methods and analyses is increasingly common in open-source programming languages, and the pharmaceutical industry is no exception. This transition offers several benefits, including easier talent recruitment, enhanced collaboration through code sharing across organizations, and the ability to adopt new methods more rapidly after their publication. However, this shift also presents challenges, such as ensuring that all tools used for regulatory purposes are functioning correctly and are validated. Moreover, organizations must determine how to align their infrastructure, processes, and workforce with this new paradigm. It is also essential to integrate new statistical engineering tasks within data science departments and to ensure that the resulting software meets its intended purpose.
In this session, we will showcase stories that illustrate experiences and solutions to address these challenges.
